Hi! I'm Aryn from Wild Seeds SLP
Speech-Language Practitioner and founder of Wild Seeds SLP
(you’ll find me walking amongst the trees in beautiful Victoria, BC)
For over a decade, I’ve worked alongside autistic students, their families, and educators in schools and communities across Alberta and BC. Those experiences showed me firsthand why our old ways of providing support weren’t enough — and sparked my passion for affirming, connection-based approaches.
Today, I’m on a mission to radically reimagine schools as neuro-inclusive spaces. I help educators and school-based teams build a deeper understanding of how to meet the needs of their autistic learners, through practices rooted in cooperation, connection, and compassion (and of course play too!). I believe in nurturing self-advocacy, celebrating authentic voices, and planting the seeds for building a future of neuro-inclusive classrooms.
Oh, and fun fact — I’ve also co-authored two children’s books!
For this masterclass, I'm honored to be joined by my co-faciliator: Meghan Dovell, an autistic Neurodiversity Consultant from Nurture Neurodiversity Consulting
Affirming practices seek to recognize and understand differences in the way autistic people think, learn, and experience the world.
We are shifting away from the mindset that we need to “fix” autistic ways of being or make them look “normal” to fit in.
Instead we can focus on providing meaningful accommodations while empowering autistic kids to feel safe being their authentic selves.
Affirming practices are the pathway to acceptance.

We know this masterclass has immense value, and we think

This Masterclass is designed for teachers, educational assistants, inclusion support educators, school administration, school-based therapists, etc. Really it's for any supportive adults who support an autistic student. It provides introductory information on the concepts of neurodiversity-affirming care related to communication support, but we believe there is impactful information for all levels of this learning journey.
The online Masterclass is scheduled for 1 hour 45 minutes. As with the nature of live workshops, we may go over that time. We will leave time at the end for questions. We also want to honor people's time, so if you have to leave the Zoom meeting early, then please do so at any point and you can always catch what you missed on the replay.
We feel this information is extremely valuable yet we want to make this information as accessible as possible. Our goal is to spread the word and create as many positive shifts as we can for neurodivergent students. Therefore, it's totally FREE to attend or catch the replay. But we also have a VIP ticket option for those who want to maintain access past the 12 days and get access to the notes & visuals. We also want to be able to give back to the community, so a portion of the proceeds will be donated to InclusionBC. The VIP ticket option is still only $25, which we feel it's a steal of a deal!
Absolutely! We encourage you to register to access this masterclass even if you know you can't attend the live event. The masterclass will be recorded and you will be given access to the replay so that you can watch it within 12 days (for the FREE ticket option). There will be some time-sensitive opportunities offered during the masterclass, so we hope you don't wait too long to watch it so that you can jump on those!
The masterclass will be recorded and a separate email with a link to access the replay will be sent out within 12 hours of the live event. Make sure you are getting our emails so that you get access to the recording link (we don't want to end up in your spam folder)! With the FREE ticket, you'll have 12 days to watch the recording. With the VIP Ticket, you'll maintain lifetime access to the recording.
Please reach out to [email protected] if you are not receiving your emails from Wild Seeds SLP (but reminder to check your junk or promotions folder!)
Excellent! We agree! Autistic representation and hearing from people with lived experience is a key part of understanding neurodiversity-affirming practices. One of our facilitators identifies as Autistic and has a wealth of information to share both personally and professionally.
